“Do All Through Love”

By THA SC

Banpong, Thailand, 12 February 2022 -- On 11 February 2022, the Salesian Society of Thailand, Cambodia and Laos celebrated the Salesian Community Day under the theme "Do All Through Love". The community of Sarasit Phithayalai School, Banpong, Ratchaburi Province played to the 70 Salesians, young Salesians in initial formation and aspirants who participated in the event.

The celebration of the Holy Mass started the day with Fr. Dheparat Pitisant, the Provincial, as the main celebrant. In his homily, he exhorted the confreres to have trust completely in God just like Don Bosco who offered everything to Him especially when faced by various challenges. At the end of the Mass, there was the traditional imposition of holy oil on the elderly confreres. The stage presentations and other fraternal activities followed the sacred celebration. This was held at the meeting hall of the school, and was animated by Fr. Monthon Rojanasuthatkul.

Towards the end of the presentations, Fr. Provincial thanked all the salesian confreres for coming together this provincial community day. He also told the participants that all the gifts that the communities will give would be used to do needed renovations to the formation house of Sampran, and to help the activities of Don Bosco Training Center, Phudhong, Nakornsrithammarat Province under the care of Fr. Renzo Rossignolo.

Today's feast closed with the blessing of Mary Help of Christians. The confreres offered themselves and their apostolic works to the maternal care of Mother Mary.

The celebration was the feast of all the Salesians with the Provincial as the center, the representative of Don Bosco in their midst. This was also the occasion to show gratitude to him for his fraternal services. Even though the participants were not that many because of the still lingering Covid-19 pandemic, yet the heart of each one was close to one another. Those who could not come in person were able to follow the event 'online'.

We would like to thank Fr John Lissandrin, Rector of Sarasit, all the confreres of this community, the teachers, staff and students of Sarasit School for their hospitality and welcome.
