Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 20 January 2022 -- In the days of preparing for the Lunar New Year, Don Bosco Tam Hai parish is offering some charitable activities.

Tam Hai parish currently has been serving free rice cookers for patients, lonely elderly people, and poor people selling lottery tickets 3 days a week. It has been also serving cheap meals for students and parish children, sharing vegetables and fruits, and together with the Diocese sharing gifts for families in need and Kindergarten teachers in the Parish.

And since November 2021, it has been providing clean water to everyone on weekdays. The Salesians and youth groups collect the bottles every Sunday to help the poor students of the Parish's School of Love. Besides that it also supports the yard and the hall of the Church of St Francis for the City health to test for COVID-19 and vaccinate.

The parish priest, Fr. Hung Pham SDB talks about these activities: “Living Charity is the way of love and service and this is the beauty of the Parish. May God bless our parish at the end of this year.”
