Vietnam, 18 October 2021 -- The Salesian Congregation is organizing the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival for young people aged 15 to 30 years around the world, with the theme: Moved by Hope, based on the Rector Major's theme for Strenna 2021. There are 3 genres: short film, animation film and music video.

Responding to the call of the Organizing Committee, from 5-14 October, the Don Bosco Tam Hai parish youth group in Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City, made efforts to produce a short 7-minute film called Hope. The film talks about the crises that a young girl, who is an active and enthusiastic catechist, encounters because of the Covid pandemic, causing her to gradually lose hope and faith in life. But there were ‘anchors’ that helped the young girl gain Hope and regain her faith in life.

The film ends with a meaningful message: “Human beings are inherently fragile and weak. But hope is the best vaccine for everyone’s soul. Hold on to hope and miracles will come.”
