Prayer Service to mark beginning of the Season of Creation 2021
Myanmar, 11 September 2021 -- The Season of Creation is annually celebrated by all Christian communities around the world. It is both the individual and the communal commitment of all Christian communities towards ecological sustainability and the care for our common home. This year the theme of the Season of Creation 2021 “A Home for all? Renewing the Household of God” invites each one of us to care for our common home with shared responsibility as one community.
In order to start the celebration of the Season of Creation 2021, Don Bosco Green Alliance - Myanmar (DBGA-MYM), under the leadership of different Salesian communities across Myanmar. In order to capture the season of creation moments 2021, the online prayer service was lively animated with the hymns, the intercessory prayers, the biblical reflections and the sharing of Pope Francis’ message on God’s creation.
The liturgy successfully concluded with the Lord’s Prayer which was beautifully sung by the postulants of the Salesian Sisters.
During this Season of Creation 2021, which starts on 1st September and ends on 4th October, the youth and the members of the Salesian family in Myanmar are further committed to actively participate through prayer initiatives and sustainability projects such as planting trees, clean-up campaigns, awareness programs and animating other ecological prayer services in their different communities.
