Hsipaw, Shan State, Myanamr, 26 June 2021 -- The three-day Vocation Orientation for the Pre-novices at Hsipaw (Myanmar) was well conducted by Fr. Provincial of the Vice- Province of Myanmar. It was a short course, yet very enriching and inspiring for the candidates who are interesting to observe and experience what the Salesian life is. Fr. Provincial, accompanied by Bro. Stephen (Salesian Brother) animated the orientation course for three days with the heart of Don Bosco. Bro. Stephen also actively shared with the candidates about the nature of the Salesian Brother Vocation and their roles in the congregation.

At present, there are only 12 aspirants at Hsipaw who have come to this community from different dioceses with different tribes of nationalities. Don Bosco Pre-novitiate formation house or seminary has been nurturing more than 30 priests, 10 Salesian Brothers, several upright citizens and good Christians. This year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the political situation of the country, we are able to cater only 12 Pre-novices. This vocation orientation course is a great help for candidates, in discerning their true vocation and preparing themselves to begin the Salesian Pre- novitiate with the dedicated hearts. The pre- novitiate community is very grateful to Fr. Provincial Zeya Aung for his availability and loving sacrifice to spend his precious time with the community and animate the Vocation Orientation for the candidates.
