Vunabosco, Kokopo PNG, 5 June 2021 -- The Month of May has been very special for the Kokopo Educative Pastoral Community. The students of Don Bosco Technical Secondary School together with the parishioners of Mary Help of Christians made a journey of prayer for the whole month of May with the Blessed Mother, Mary. On 6 May , the feast of St Dominic Savio, the Salesian Family together with the students celebrated the renewal of Vows of Bro. Pio Evana. Several other pastoral activities have been held. Two of them were the rosary rally and the drawing competition on the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The school decided to celebrate the solemnity of Mary Help of Christians on 21 May, earlier than the scheduled feast. Fr. Albert presided at the Holy Eucharistic celebration. In addition, the students, Parishioners and the entire Salesian Family in Kokopo expressed their gratitude to God for the presence of Fr. Albert in the missions of East New Britain for the past 18 months. With simple hearts, little children as well as adults, bid him farewell him as they expressed their gratitude to him.

The community also acknowledged the presence of Mr Christopher Lee, the recently arrived Salesian Lay Missionary, from the USA. He brings with him a renewed spirit for young people.
