ASC Seoul, 21 March 2021 -- The ASC members of KOR Province have been very active in their efforts towards environmental protection. Their massive Laudato Si' Campaign has started outstandingly and has created several concrete actions which spark hope to others.

Since 9 November 2020, one of their ASC Provincial Delegates, Sr. Gertrude SungMin Kim, FMA, sends out one paragraph of Laudato Si’ daily with a picture to all the ASC members through a mobile messaging app. They also decided to read the Laudato Si' individually because they thought that they could not put it into action more effectively if they had insufficient knowledge about it. Moreover, they made waste baskets using recycled papers in their last Advent retreat.

Recently, they have organized the ‘Korea ASC Eco Team’ in our Provincial Council. This team will assist the Laudato Si’ activities of the members and make the activities more effective. The Eco Team is composed of 5 members including two ASC Provincial Delegates (SDB & FMA) and 3 Provincial Councilors. They responsible in planning and coming up with many good ideas.

In order to further enhance their awareness campaign, they decided to open a separate Laudato Si' site on their Cooperators’ Home Page. It is where members can gather many materials and information and can utilize them and as well as share their experiences and naturally expand Laudato Si’. At the moment, they are preparing to share 14 lectures about eco-system and ecological spirituality. First, their Provincial Councilors will discuss and study them. And maybe after 3 months, all the members will begin to listen to the lectures and share their thoughts and activities.
