ASC EAO/SA, 3 February 2021 -- Just two weeks after the successful online SF Spirituality Days with more than 1100 EAO members together in real time, 30 January was a red-letter day for the Association of Salesian Cooperators in the EAO and South Regions. The first joint effort brought together about 200 Salesian Cooperators from these two 'sister regions' through the consistent commitment of their World councillors - Mr Philip Yu (EAO region) and Mr Amali Antuvan (South Asia region). The presence of both World delegates - Sr. Lucrecia Uribe, FMA and Br. Dominic Nam, SDB together with another World Councillor, speaker of this Formation event - Mr. Raul Fernandez (Iberia Region) make this historic occasion really memorable.

"How to Become a True Salesian Cooperator? was a theme shared by Raul, a Spanish Salesian Cooperator from Madrid, who developed this topic in a very comprehensive and clear way, translated into 5 EAO languages thanks to the effort of simultaneous translators (Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Thai languages). The full text of the talk is available on Boscolink.

How to verify the Call - Vocation - to be a true Salesian Cooperator? This was the main question in the lively talk that also offered six clear pointers to the daily vocation grow of each Salesian Cooperator: to grow as Catholic, as Associated, as Autonomous, as Devoted to own Vocation, Faithful to the Pope and committed to never-ending permanent formation.

The World Councillor for South Asia, Mr. Amali Antuvan from India confirms: "It was a nice experience of formation, as well as the joint venture by EAO and South Asia. Our Cooperators were happy to interact with and sharing. It all means that we are all one family, one mission and one man Don Bosco and bonded by his charism. Hope to have combined meet in future too!"

We congratulate the ASC of both Asian Regions and pray that this first bold step will continue with reaching out to all corners of the vast Region of East Asia - Oceania in the future!
