Lost Palos, Timor Leste, 24 September 2020 -- Los Palos' green vegetable farm is growing and producing, especially in these difficult times! We are the most distant community in the province, it takes one whole days journey to reach our Parish - Prenovitiate - Orphanage - Oratory from the capital of Dili where is our SDB provincial house islocated.

Most visitors to Los Palos would remember the large portion of the large Don Bosco compound was not really 100% maximized for home agriculture. In our difficult times we try to maximize each possible square metre of our garden. Some of the agricultural products are eaten by the Salesian community or by the orphanage boys, but some of the products are also sold at the local market.

What is most important, is to educate our young people that their patience, hard work and daily commitment brings fruits they can touch and also sell. The Season of Creation (Sept 1 - Oct 3, 2020) celebrated in the Catholic Church has many facets - here is Los Palos, starting from our vegetable garden daily work.
