Seoul, Korea, 14 October 2019 -- A blessing ceremony of a newly extended building and remodeling of interior of existing rooms was conducted on 14 October 2019.

The Don Bosco Self-Support Center (aka SDB SSC) has served more than 20 years for those who began their new career after completing their course at the Don Bosco Job-Training School. The Hall has provided a safe living shelter for those who are in need.

The maximum capacity is 35, accommodating from college students to rookies, until they reach 25, providing financial assistance, self-standing practice and emotional assistance as well. More than 400 people have successfully used this facility. Thanks to this facility's assistance and experience, they have settled down safely and have shared their learning from the center with others.

Due to very limited space issue, space was provided for 2 persons per room (in fact, leaving very little extra space). This limited space meant they needed to sit in the corridor at at 10 pm for the goodnight. Therefore, resting space, consultation rooms and other program rooms were needed.

The 222.46 square metres of extension to the existing building has been done and re-modeling of 7 bedrooms were carried out. Thanks to this work, one person per room was achieved finally. With this comfortable space, the new well-designed facility will serve many more years helping young people to become upright citizens and good Christians. The new facility is expected to be a big help to them.
