5218(I)_Practical Trainees’ Formation Gathering

FIN Province

Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines, 29 September 2019 -- The FIN Province conducted its Formation Gathering for Practical Trainees from 27-29 September 2019 at Port Antonio, Los Baños, Laguna.

This gathering, the first of the three for the formation year, was attended by all 16 Practical Trainees of the Province:

Fourth Year

Third Year

• Cl. Jose Felimar Valenzuela (Don Bosco Prenovitiate Formation House Canlubang)
• Cl. Joel Granada (Sacred Heart Postnovitiate Canlubang)
• Cl. Enrico Mercado (Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati)
• Br. Kerwin Valeroso (Don Bosco College Canlubang)

Second Year

• Cl. John Joseph Aguila (Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati)
• Cl. Jojo Agar Villanueva (Don Bosco Youth and Training Center Tondo)
• Cl. Lorenzo Gabriel Estrella (Don Bosco Technical Institute Tarlac)

First Year

This was facilitated by Fr. Donnie Duchin Duya, the person in charge of Practical Training Formation.

On the first day, the Practical Trainees shared and revisited their Plans of Life. This was concluded with the Good Night Talk given by Br. James Gomez, who shared practical tips to his fellow brothers.

The following day, Fr. Donnie celebrated the Holy Mass. The input for this day was on the letter of Fr. Ivo Coelho, Councilor for Formation, on Practical Training. In the evening, Fr. Rey Dela Cruz, the head of the Commission on Formation, arrived.

On the last day, Fr. Rey celebrated the Sunday Mass as a fitting conclusion to the three-day seminar.

Between the sharing and inputs, the Practical Trainees maximized the opportunity given to bond with their companions, and to rest, relax and unwind, even for a just a short while, for them to return to their communities and places of apostolate with renewed zeal and vigor.
