HCM City, Vietnam, 14 August 2019 -- Last Wednesday, 14 August 2019, the Salesian Province of Vietnam-Mongolia rejoiced with 10 new young confreres who for the first time expressed their complete belonging to God in the way of Don Bosco as consecrated religious, five of them professed as Salesian Brothers and five of them as candidates to the Priesthood.

Being a Salesian religious who serves young people is a gift that God gives only to some, including the newly professed to Salesian. That great grace of apostolic consecration is answered by new confreres not only as a personal effort after the days of studying and growing in their Salesian vocation, but above all, it is also a profound experience of God's love for each one of them.

With religious vows made with all freedom and conviction, the newly professed Salesians will truly join the ranks of Salesians committed to taking a holy path in the mission of serving poor young people in the life of communion. brotherhood, following the Gospel way that Don Bosco himself showed to his spiritual children.

The vows of the new Salesians were accepted by the Provincial, Father Joseph Quang, in the presence of the General Councilor for the Missions, Fr Guillermo Basanes. In the Bathon parish church there were a few hundred Salesian confreres, parents and and relatives of the newly professed, some benefactors and guests, to pray and to share the joy with the Salesian province of Vietnam-Mongolia.

We continue with the Salesians of Vietnam to express our thanksgiving to God for giving to the Church and the Congregation again many passionate young confreres are committed to witness Jesus especially to the youth in need. And we also add a prayer for their formators who are always full of God's grace, so that they can live fully their Salesian consecrated apostolic vocation.
