Juba, South Sudan, 28 May 2019 -- The priestly ordination of two deacons - Joseph Le Quoc Hung and Peter Pham Minh Tam was held in the parish of St Vincent de Paul, in Juba, capital of South Sudan. The Archbishop of Juba Archbishop Paulino Lokudu Loro was the main celebrant of the ordination witnessed by the Salesians of the East Africa Province (AFE), their relatives, friends and people of God.

The two newly ordained priests came to South Sudan as missionaries sent by the Rector Major in 2012. They did their practical training in South Sudan for three years and then studied theology in the theologate at Utume, Nairobi for four years.

Let us accompany them in prayer for God blessing upon their mission as the priests forever of Christ for the people of South Sudan, especially for the salvation of the poor young people, abandoned and youth at risk. We are joyful in their celebration and wish the motto "For the love of Christ impels us" (2 Cr 5:4) becoming true in their lives as the love of Christ giving to the South Sudan people.
