Tondo, Manila the Philippines, May 24, 2019 -- The Philippines North Province (FIN) praise and thank the Lord Jesus for the gift of a new Salesian priest in the person of Fr. April Jerome Quinto, SDB. He was ordained priest during the solemn feast day of Mary Help of Christians in the parish church of St. John Bosco Parish in Tondo, Manila.
The Holy Eucharist began at 6:00pm with Salesian Bishop Pat Buzon, DD, SDB of the Diocese of Bacolod, the ordaining bishop, as the presider. The parish church was filled with people who witnessed the ordination. The family, relatives, and friends of Fr. Quinto were present to join him in this grace-filled event in his life. The members of the Salesian family were likewise present to celebrate the feast day of Mary Help of Christians and welcome Fr. Quinto as a new Salesian priest in the big Salesian family. Remarkably present were a big number of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians inasmuch as Fr. Quinto was a former student of one of their schools in Manila.
