Gerini, Rome, 12 May 2019 -- The Holy Father has released his message for the 56th World Day of Vocations. It is entitled “The courage to take risks for God’s promise”. Again, we are reminded to pray for more holy priestly and religious vocations. And especially for each young person - no one is excluded - it is time to search and to response to God’s call. That is a call, the Holy Father says, that “opens before our eyes the horizon of a greater sea and an abundant catch”.
On the Fourth Sunday of Easter, which is also commonly called Good Shepherd Sunday, the formation community of Blessed Zeffirino Namuncura in Gerini, Rome, held the conferral of the ministry of lector e acolyte in their parish church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The liturgy was presided over by Fr Francesco Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major.
13 young Salesians received the ministry of acolyte and another 13 received the ministry of lector. In the latter case, 3 of them come from the East Asia Oceania region. They are:
- Freitas Gama Juvito (East Timor)
- Soares Flores Fortunato Henrique (East Timor)
- Kim Dominic Savio (Korea)
