Deacon ordination of Giuse Nguyễn Vũ Thanh Phương

Buenos Aires, Argentina -- Last 28th April was celebrated the diaconal ordinations of three Salesians - Alexis Garro, Leonel Cánepa and Joseph Phuong Vu Thanh Nguyen, presided by Msgr. Eduardo García, bishop of the diocese of San Justo, were celebrated.
Deacon Phuong is among the 4 EAO missionaries working in the ARS (Argentina South) province with headquarters in Buenos Aires and comprising the first missionary destination of Don Bosco - Patagonia. There are two Timorese missionary priest - Fr. Brigildo de Deus (Trelew) and Fr. Natalino Freitas (Victorica).
Deacon Joseph was sent as the 71st Vietnamese missionary ad gentes by the Rector Major in September 2011. At present the Vietnam - Mongolia province has more than 100 missionary ad gentes out of Vietnam, with another three missionary candidates for the 149th missionary expedition of 2018.
We wish Deacon Phuong a total dedication to the sharing of the Gospel in Argentina and deep union with Jesus Christ - Good Shepherd!
