Chu Prong, Vietnam, 19 July 2016 -- During Summer vacation 2016, Salesian parish of Thanh Binh (Chu Prong, Gia Lai) has organized "Summer with Jesus" for children to help them to have a fun summer, creating courts rewarding players, fostering and cultural study, and help them to become more mature in the faith life and cloning.
There are about a hundred children participants in the summer activities, from grade 1 to grade 10. In the morning the children have a culture classes (two classes from 8 to 9:40 AM) of the following subjects: Mathematics, Vietnamese and English. After the school subjects there is a music time: drums, guitar, organ, flute and also a computer class opportunity. In the afternoon time there is an opportunity to learn some handicraft skills followed by sports and fun-games with special games: prison ball, football, badminton, chess, Uno and seahorses flag.
The ‘Summer with Jesus’ in our Salesian parish is based on the regular Oratory activities durin g the year with picnics, joyful experiences and group experience. This program will end in late July. We hope that the joyful experience will help the children and young people to grow as children of God.
