Hong Kong, China, 13 August 2020 -- Between August 2 - 8, 2020, some forty Salesians of China Province held the second batch of annual retreat with the theme of GC28: "What Kind of Salesians for the Youth of Today?" Although COVID19 pandemic and socio-political-ecclesial issues in Hong Kong and Macau continue to create havoc, 37 full time participants and 3 part time participants gathered together for this important and opportune time of spiritual exercises and conversion facilitated in three languages: English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Eight confreres reached Hong Kong from Macau while the majority resided in Salesian Missionary House, Hong Kong. They were one in spirit and also connected by video talk-conferences preached by Fr. Provincial, Joseph Ng, and his Vicar, Domingos Leong. The personal Valdocco experience of the GC28 delegates was shared in many reflections and story-tellings.
