Hong Kong, 26 October 2018 -- More than 50 SDB confreres, young people and Lay Mission Partners gathered at the Salesian Missionary House, Shau Kei Wan, for the quarterly meeting of confreres in Hong Kong Territory. It is the opportunity to prepare well for the Provincial Chapter 2019: 'What kind of Salesians for the Youth of Today?'
At the same time, this encounter was an occasion to start the year-long celebration of Fr Paul Fong's 100th birthday. We consider him a great witness of fidelity. He is a truly attractive example of courageous faith amidst all odds during his life and until now as the most senior member of our China province with his humble service of prayer and joyful life witness.
This day was also enriched by the arrival of a new Congolese Missionary Salesian, Fr Ephrem Kisenga, the second Congolese confrere in our Province. He is preparing to study Chinese-Mandarin language in Taipei, Taiwan.
Indeed this day is a celebration of fidelity and new enthusiasm for the mission.
