Hanoi, Vietnam, 14 December 2021 -- On Gaudete Sunday, the Salesians at Nong Vu presence (Long Bien, Ha Noi city, belonging to Hoa An community) held the opening ceremony of a new course for the Aspirants in the North of Vietnam.

There were six aspirants present. Three of them have been staying at Nong Vu, the rest live in a dormitory near the office of the Vietnam North Delegation.

Father Dominic Chi, the Salesian who is in charge of Nong Vu presence, had an encounter with the aspirants to welcome them and offer some orientation.

The Mass was celebrated by Father Dominic Chỉ and concelebrated by Fr Joseph Tin, Rector of Hoa An Community, and Fr Martin Thang, Councillor for Youth Ministry of the North Delegation.

In his homily, Fr Joseph put a question: “What should we do?” and asked the aspirants to reflect on the future. Each and everyone has a dream. What do we need to do to fulfill our dreams? Lastly, he encouraged and urged the aspirants to strive for their Salesian vocation, despite the high cost they might pay.

The day ended with a fraternal meal. May God bless the aspirants and the Salesians, that they may devote themselves to work, to cooperate and to pray unceasingly for a fruitful Salesian formation.
