Lahore, Pakistan, 3 November 2020 -- The 6th official meeting since 2019 of the Don Bosco Lahore Past Pupils was held on 25 October 2020 in the Alma Mater . Really well communicated, well prepared and well organized - for the first time there was also a good online participation from overseas. Together with Fr Noble Lal (SDB rector) and Br Alex Abelgas (Delegate, online participation) some 40 past pupils took part in this enthusiastic encounter on Sunday afternoon.

This meeting was really well prepared - both past pupils and Salesians - with an Urdu translation of Don Bosco Past Pupils Prayer & Promise, with a Carlo Gastini-Valdocco origin story of their Association (going back to 1870) and with formation based on the World Confederation Statutes.

This meeting was really well communicated - before, during and after: thanks to the newly born 'Don Bosco TV' (DB Lahore), thanks to the Past Pupils Facebook with numerous calls, advertisements and reports after the meeting. The zoom platform gave an opportunity to some overseas past pupils sharing from Germany and Malaysia, as well Br. Alex from the Philippines.

This meeting fostered a deeper sense of belonging - with distribution of the Don Bosco Privilege Card to the already 'enrolled' members of the Association, with three Birthday celebrations and passionate motivation from the Treasurer (Faisal Waris) on the importance of the monthly membership fee, photo sessions and fraternal sharing.

We give thanks to all who joined us last week, to all officers of our Unit who dedicated their energy and time for good preparation, to the Salesian community that supports us! And we pray that these first six meetings of our Don Bosco Lahore Unit are a good foundation and will build a good culture among all those who received aDon Bosco education in our school.
