Lahore Don Bosco, Pakistan, 2 February 2019 -- The Salesian Community “Don Bosco Technical and Youth Centre” in Lahore, has just solemnly celebrated the feast of St John Bosco. Fr Noble Lal, Fr Gabriel Cruz, Fr Samuel Adnan and Br Bernard Alfred together with the staff of the Institution were the hosts of the event.
The presence of important representatives of the Pakistani government, and Japanese rectors of technical Institutes in Lahore, as well as the Archbishop Sebastian Shaw, Archbishop of Lahore, the Parish Priest of Youhanabad, the Rector of the diocesan Seminary, Priests, Religious brothers and sisters, Salesian past pupils, teachers, students, hostels, families and friends have made this celebration a beautiful event.
After the solemn Eucharist, an artistic program was performed: the presentation of the dream at nine years of age, an explanation of the work done by the Salesians since the beginning of the foundation, dances and dramas prepared by the students and teachers.
A special part of the evening was the significant homage made by the former alumni (2012-2014 batch) in honour of Fr Peter Zago. A beautiful sign of gratitude for everything received from the Salesian community.
The celebration concluded with dinner where we all could share the joy of being part of this beautiful Salesian family.
