Rome, 7 July 2020 -- After the official presentation of the third edition of the Salesian Rectors Handbook by the Formation Councillor during GC28 in Valdocco, the creative video-presentations are available on the web. To his first rector, Fr Michael Rua (Mirabello) Don Bosco offered 4 small pages - a souvenir with advice. Today the 10th successor of Don Bosco offers all 14,500 Salesians 4 videos of introduction to the 2020 edition of the Rector Manual.


Since GC28 we have had the Rectors Handbook available online in 6 major Salesian languages. From this week on we have the video presentation for each Salesian community in order to digest this 'Compass' for Salesian community life. After 29 drafts of the Manual, after 316 suggestions from the whole Salesian world, now is the time to translate (EAO region!), to study and share the material together in each Salesian community. Together with the animation videos, Fr Ivo's Formation team prepared a PPT presentation and a four-step concrete suggestion for local community 'digestion' of the Manual with the involvement of all confreres.
