Samoa - Formation of Salesian Cooperators is going on

By Cl. Kevin Fiame, SDB

Apia, Samoa, 31 July 2017 -- The regular monthly gathering of Salesian Cooperators in Alafua (Apia, Samoa) took place on Friday July 28, 2017. The main purpose of the evening was to vote on council members and discuss some important issues for the future of the Association of Salesian Co-operators in Samoa.

The gathering started with prayer led by Fr. Iosefo, Delegate to the Salesian Co-operators in Samoa. Fr. Iosefo also went on to explain that the first co-operator was Mamma Margaret. Pope John Paul II declared how important the role of Mamma Margaret was in helping out the poor boys at the oratory.

Fr Petelo, our Rector, then encouraged all members to take Mamma Margaret as their role model. The formal discussions were then followed by a meal and refreshments. The results for the election of council members will be confirmed at the next meeting.
