Suva, Fiji, 17 October 2022 -- There are several points in his opening talk that Father highlighted. The importance of “communion” in the community, with the Province and with the Congregation, communion with the young people. Father Joseph also challenged us to reflect on the theme of GC28, “What kind of Salesians for the youth of today”, and spoke about the Salesian Sacrament of Presence, working together with the laity and our mission partners, the importance of formation in mission and ongoing formation.

Father visited the Oratory at Don Bosco Youth Centre and met with the young people who were there. He was touched by the conversation he had with some of the youth about the presence of the Salesian brothers and priests wherever there are young people.

Fr. Joseph concluded the visitation encouraging us to continue the mission among the people of Fiji especially the young with the spirit of Don Bosco.
