Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 23 December 2016 -- The entire atmosphere of Don Bosco technical school Ulaanbaatar was filled with excitement and joy as more than 200 students and the staff packed the well decorated gymnasium to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The program started at 11am with Mongolian national anthem, followed by the speech of Fr. Paul Leung, SDB, the Rector and the Principal of the DBTS.
In his speech he explained the meaning of the Christmas celebration. He said that God sent his only son to share his life with all humanity. Therefore, it is the time to share and feel the love of God and of each other. It is the time to express our joyful gratitude to the people who have been helping us during this year which is just passing by. It is the celebration of love, peace and joy and this is the message of entire celebration.
After his opening speech students of different year level came up on the stage with colorful dance, Christmas carols and universe best songs, New Year poems, fashion show etc. Then, it was the time to exchange the gifts symbolizing the meaning of Christmas Celebration that is to share. After that they had pot luck lunch, meanwhile they played raffle and many other entertaining games.
The program ended at 3 pm with exciting disco joined by all the students, salesians, teachers and workers. The Christmas thrill was felt by everyone who participated in the celebration.
