Ba Thon, HCM City, 29 March 2022 -- On Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the novitiate community of the Sacred Heart, Ba Thon (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) a meeting of the Salesians in the community with the parents of the novices took place. The family day was meaningful when the novices had the opportunity to meet their parents, through the support and encouragement of their superiors, and above all through God’s blessing. Surely this will be a close link among members of the great family of God.
First, at 8:00 a.m., everyone in the community welcomed the novices’ parents and relatives and then the novices’ brass band played to welcome them. Followed by the meeting and sharing of the Rector about the program, goals, and training directions in the novitiate through which parents will understand more clearly about the progress of formation. Then, at 9:00 a.m., in the program with the theme “Love nest”, the novices expressed the great love of parents. After that, everyone entered the climax of the day with a Mass of thanksgiving to God. Finally, at 11:45 a.m., the meeting day ended with a family meal in solidarity and love for each other.
