Recommencement for Salesian mission

Dalat, Vietnam, 24 May 2016 -- In Honor to Mary Help of Christians, the Don Rua Institute in Dalat held the Holy Mass and ceremony to conclude the academic year 2015-2016.

The whole community expressed the gratitude after years of graces. All confreres would like to give thanks to the superiors, the parents, and the team of teachers who guided and accompany them during recent years.


In the graduation ceremony, there were Father Rector and the superiors of the community, the teachers, some religious teachers from other congregations, the confreres’ parents, and 16 philosophy students.


To start the ceremony, Father Jos Nguyen chan Hung, rector of the community had some words insisting on Salesian charism based on triple aspects : human, spiritual and intellectual development. After that, Father Prefect reported the situation of recent academic year and he gave thanks to all teachers. He also talked about the project of the coming school year. At the end, the students received the graduation license and had some pictures together with the teachers, their parents and the superiors.


At ten in the morning, all attended the Holy Eucharist presided by Father Rector. The mass was celebrated in honor to Mary Help of Christians. After the Mass, one representative of students’ parents said some words to express gratitude to the community. Father Joseph Nguyen chan Hung also informed that 3 of the philosophy students will go abroad to be the missionaries ad gentes next year. Then, all shared together a meal in family spirit with some songs, especially there were the presence of ‘Loving Heart’ singer group and Phi Nguyen, a famous singer coming from Saigon.


In the Eve yesterday, we had an academy entitled ‘Sweet Moon’ to express the filial love and devotion to Mary, our Mother.
