Gia Lai, Vietnam, 27 September 2021 -- During the difficult time because of Covid, if all attention is focused on Saigon, which is suffering the heavy consequences of the pandemic, in the mission land of the Central Highlands of Vietnam the pastors of the Church still silently wandering around the villages to take care of their flock.

Contributing to that vivid picture, Father Philip Do Duc Hoan SDB, along with 30 young people from the Don Bosco youth group in Lang Ba, have been enthusiastically supporting poor families in villages: Ba Village, Bua Village, and Chan, Triel village, belong to Ia Pnon commune, Duc Co district, Gia Lai province.

This supporting journey takes place on 3 consecutive Sundays, starting on Sunday 19 September 2021. 30 gifts were distributed to 30 poor households on this first Sunday.

May God bless you, the Salesians and young people who are serving day and night in the vast missionary field of ripe rice.
