Hua Hin, Thailand, 5 April 2022 -- The Salesian Confreres of Thailand, Cambodia and Laos held their annual spiritual retreat from 20-26 March 2022 [1st batch] and from 27 March - 2 April 2022 [2nd batch] under the theme "Darkness And Light - in the agony of Jesus from the Gospel of St. John". This was preached by Bishop Joseph Prathan Sridarunsil, SDB, at the Salesian Retreat House in Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan. Because of the Covid pandemic, the confreres who could not be present at the venue followed the retreat conferences through online zoom. The Salesian confreres of Cambodia gathered together at Don Bosco Hotel - Sihanoukville, and those in Vientiane, Laos, followed the talks by zoom at their place in the Don Bosco Vocational Training Center.
Moreover, on 25 March 2022, Bishop Joseph Prathan Sridarunsil led the benediction of the Holy Eucharist and the prayer of consecration of Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in line with the intention of the Holy Father and together with the Salesian confreres who were having their spiritual retreat.
