The supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:8)

By THA SC

Nakornpathom, Thailand, 4 May 2021 -- On 1 May 2021, four novices from the Salesian Province of Thailand, Cambodia and Laos (THA) made their first religious profession into the hands of Fr John Bosco Dheparat Pitisant at Baan SantithamSavio, Nakhonpathom Province. Salesians and a limited number of relatives joined in the celebration. Due to the Covid - 19 pandemic, the celebration was internal. The following are the names of the 4 salesians who made their first profession:

1.Cl.Dominic Savio Prakit Singhaart

2.Cl.Francis Tran Van Nho

3.Cl.Michael Supanimit Jonlamonton

4.Bro. John Bosco Wicharit Maniphaison

At one point in his homily, Fr Dhepara shared the reflection from the Gospel of Mk 10: 17-30 on the rich young man. "Being a Salesian requires a lot of sacrifices. But this sacrifice is not comparable to the kindness of God. He is always faithful. We are all called to do His ministry in this world. He calls us to do His work as Lay brothers, Fathers, Sisters, etc. Let us respond to Him. The reward that He rewards us with is something that this world cannot give. Today he calls four brothers to work in his vineyard. It's a vineyard full of youth. All four of them have shown generous acceptance of his invitation throughout their lives. Although it is a temporary vow, it is determined to serve God forever. We, Salesian members, Salesian family members and everyone here cheers the four. And pray that all these brothers will be faithful to God forever."

We continue to pray for the four brothers, that they may continue to live their Religious Profession and grow in the Salesian Vocation to be signs and bearers of God’s Love to the young, day by day.
