Sports Create Unity

Hua-Hin, Thailand, 31 December 2020 -- At the end of November 2020, the alumni of Huahin Vithayalai School opened the 4th Blue - White Premier League. This was graced by the presence of Fr. Somrote Chaichana, the rector and school manager. He also declared the football competition opened. Mr. Rangsan Boonthae, the president of school's alumni association [2020-2022], read the purpose of the event with 16 teams participating. The competition started on 27 November 2020 and will end on 23 January 2021. The games will be held only on Saturdays and Sundays, from 14.00 - 17.30 hrs., at the school's football field.

The football league has been an annual event for already 4 years, which creates unity in a salesian family atmosphere. Moreover, the alumni association of Huahin Vithayalai was established on 1996, with the purpose to create good relationship among the alumni, the Salesian confreres, the teachers and the present students to nourish love, togetherness, net-working, helping one another for the good of society. Recently, the alumni organized various activities, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The association distributed food to those affected within the Huahin area. The Salesians are proud to be part of the formation of these young Thai people to be upright members of religion and honest citizens.
