Myanmar Salesians
Anisakan, Myanmar, 6 September 2019 -- We treasure a valuable occasion every year when all of our confreres come together at Anisakan, Don Bosco Spiritual Renewal Center (retreat house) and spend one week together - almost in silent prayer - for our annual spiritual retreat. This year too, from 2-7 September, most of the perpetually professed Salesians of Mary Help of Christians Vice-Province of Myanmar have gathered for the retreat , followed by half a day of provincial community day on Saturday.
This year we welcome Fr. Henry Bonetti (KOR) in our midst, the former Rector of SnDB (theology formation house) in Paranaque, Manila, who has been guiding us with two nutritious conferences every day and guiding us in the heart of God, who is Love and Mercy.
At the second day of the retreat, the morning Mass was celebrated by our EAO Regional Councillor, at the end of his annual animation visit to our Vice-Province. At the end of the Eucharist Fr. Vaclav also distributed to each perpetually professed member the new 'Salesian Rectors Manual' as a sign of communion with the whole Congregation.
We give thanks to God for another serene time of prayer for each other, sharing together and going deeper into God's heart through these silent days of meditation and rest.
