Common mission discussed

Comoro, Dili, Timor-Leste -- On 8 January 2020, the SDB and FMA provincial council members held a joint meeting in the Audio-Visual Hall of Don Bosco Center for Professional Formation. The meeting was led by the SDB provincial Fr Apolinario Maria Ornai Neto, SDB and the provincial of the FMA, Sr Alma Castagna, FMA. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the common mission shared by both FMA and SDB. Fr. Apol opened the meeting with greetings and thanking everybody. He proceeded with the presentation of the new assignments of the SDBs to the FMA provincial and her council members. After his turn, the FMA provincial, Sr. Alma, did the same thing.

Then, the opportunity was given to Fr. João da Costa Boavida, SDB and Sr Julia, as the respective youth ministry delegates, to present some issues regarding the Salesian Youth Movement in Timor-Leste and the animation and formation plan for the youth animators for the year 2020. An open discussion was held for clarifications and interventions. After that both council members continued with the discussion regarding animation of other members of the Salesian Family. Besides, the Salesian Youth Movement, the SDB and FMA in Timor-Leste have been working hand-in-hand to be animators for other branches of the Salesian Family. Then followed discussion regarding other matters. The meeting was carried out in the family spirit with a lot of joy and confidence. The meeting terminated with photo session and snacks in the refectory of the SDB Provincial House.
