       Cebu, Philippines, 20 April 2023 -- Don Bosco FIS participated in the recently concluded International Conference on Youth Ministry (ICYM) 2023 organized by the Loyola School of Theology in cooperation with Don Bosco School of Theology on April 13-15, 2023. The FIS delegation consists of Fr. Rooney John Undar, SDB and Ms. Marie Arrianne Diolingo of the Commission on Youth Ministry; Fr. Keith Amodia, SDB, Ms. Jennifer Cordova and Mr. Joseph Odivilas from the Social Communications Office; Fr. Reynante Sabelita, SDB, Mr. Ralph Gerard Padilla, and Mr. Julius Ysulan of the DBTC-Pastoral Animation Office; Fr. Erwin Joey Cabilan, SDB, from Don Bosco Formation Center-Lawaan; Fr. Joriz Calsa, SDB from Don Bosco-Pasil; and Mr. Darryl Torreon, representing the Salesian Youth Movement.

       The three-day conference featured three study days of learning the Church’s vision, principles, and best practices of youth ministry which includes six keynote addresses in the plenary for the morning session and 20 breakout workshops in the afternoon as well as cultural presentations showcasing the diverse cultures in the Asia and the Pacific. Activities during the conference focused on the central theme: “Journeying with the Youth.” Insights gained from the conference shall serve as fresh lenses in bettering youth ministry practices in the province.
