By Fr. Filiberto Gonzalez, SDB
General Councilor for the Social Communication
RMG, 14 February 2017 -- In many of our communities, schools and parishes our youth and Lay Mission Partners can't understand that we are truly one 'World - wide community' (SDB Constitutions art. 59). One of the most visible signs of this global Salesian communion is a simple world map with all Salesian provinces around the 132 countries. After two years we have again the chance to print out an updated version.
Dear confreres and Friends, every second year the Salesian Sector for the Social Communication does offer a Salesian World Map, updated with the more recent statistics of each Salesian Province and Delegations.
This Salesian World Map is done since 2012 by Bro. Hilario Seo (Korea) and we are very grateful for his wonderful work! Our thanks goes also to the Secretary General Fr. Stefano Vanoli and former Secretary General Fr. Francesco Maraccani who supplied the statistics up to the 31st December 2016 from all 90 Provinces worldwide. Also the collaboration of the General Councilor for the EAO Region!
On the internet are available three different size of the 'Salesians in the World 2017' that are ready for printing according your needs:
Euro-centric Salesian World Map: 128 x 91cm, 256 x 182cm, 350 x 248cm
Pacific-centric Salesian World Map: 128 x 91cm, 256 x 182cm, 350 x 248cm
Thanks for all confreres who contributed to this new version 2017, for the greater glory of God and the salvation of souls.
