Perpetual Professions
PARAÑAQUE: May 2, 2014 -- The Chapel of Seminaryo ng Don Bosco in Parañaque City, Philippines, 1 May 2014, saw 8 young men profess their intention to remain with Don Bosco forever. The eight making their perpetual profession are as follows:

Cl. Noble Lal, SDB (FIS/Pak)
Cl. Donnie Duchin Estacio Duya, SDB (FIN)
Cl. Joseph Phạm Văn Trường, SDB (ITM/Ind)
Cl. Martino Dương Quốc Huy, SDB (VIE)

Cl. Júlio da Silva Mota, SDB (ITM)
Cl. Ambrusius Widiyantoro, SDB (ITM)
Cl. Matias Mendonça Marçal de Jesus Pinto, SDB (ITM)

Fr. Eligio Cruz, FIN Provincial, (with Fr. Henry Bonetti, Rector of Seminaryo ng Don Bosco and Fr Peter Zago, missionary to Pakistan, as witnesses) accepted their vows in the name of the Rector Major.

The event was held under the overarching theme of: "My grace is enough for you ..." (2 Cor 12:19).

Cl. Donnie Duchin Duya gave the thanksgiving speech. He shared his reflection on what "forever" means and sought the prayers of those present for them, the new perpetually professed Salesians. He capped his talk with a line from a famous song: "We've only just begun ..."

Relatives and friends of the professed came to witness the event, including some from Pakistan.

24 priests concelebrated, among them the seven newly ordained priests from April 21. The aspirants from Canlubang formed the choir.
