Seventh and final Lenti volume released

ROME: 22 June 2010 -- On Thursday, 17 June 2010, the LAS University Press of the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome released the seventh and final volume in the series authored by Salesian scholar Arthur J. Lenti: Don Bosco, History and Spirit. This volume, entitled Don Bosco's Golden Years, includes a general index for the entire series and numerous historical photographs. The volume completes what can be called an epic series that is the fruit of 29 years of study, research and teaching on the part of Fr Lenti, principally at the Institute of Salesian Spirituality in Berkeley.
Fr Aldo Giraudo, professor of Salesian Studies and director of the 'Centro Studi Don Bosco' at the UPS has been the person in Rome chiefly behind the efforts for bring Fr Lenti's opus into print. Fr Giraudo secured a grant from the Salesian Mission Office in Turin for the publication of the series, and worked with the author to edit the series into a publishable form. Fr Giraudo also oversaw the use of graphics and ordered the indexes that complete the entire series as they appear at the conclusion of this seventh volume.
Copies of this and earlier volumes are available through the LAS in Rome, the Institute of Salesian Spirituality in Berkeley, and Salesiana at SRM Distribution Services in Paramus (New Jersey).
