KUMGI: 29th Oct-- In these months we were off-line, the Sisters of Charity
of St. Anne finally responded to the invitation to do for the girls what the
Salesians were already doing for the boys here at Don Bosco Kumgi.
On the 27th of October, the cornerstone of their convent was blessed by Fr
Francis Gustilo, SDB FIN Provincial, who was on his first canonical
visitation to Don Bosco Kumgi. Sr. Matilde Martin, Provincial Economer of
the Sisters of St. Anne set the cornerstone in its place for posterity.
Sr. Kanti Lakra and Sr. Mary Joseph, both from India form the pioneering
team for the congregation. To begin with, they will assist in welcoming the
first group of post-grade ten girls to the Instittue of Technology in 2000.
A group fo 20 are expected to enroll for the Office Automation Technology
course.
