Course for Rectors and persons in charge of presences in Vietnam

DA LAT: 28th October 2007 -- From October 23 to 25 a Seminar was organized by the provincial formation commission of Vietnam province for Rectors and others in charge of presences, at the Da Lat Postnovitiate with the participation of 14 rectors and 9 confreres in-charge of presences.
Four facilators helped the participants to deepen their appreciation of the  "Father" figure of the Salesian rector, his responsibility as educator and guide, and his identity.  One of the issues considered was how to facilitate the 'friendly chat' or what used be called the 'rendiconto'.
Father J B Them, provincial, took part in the seminar from the moment it commenced. He thanked the rectors for accepting the responsibility of being rectors with spirit of love and self dedication, for their active collaboration in the government of the province. He also encouraged them to pay much attention to the young confreres (assistants, young brothers and young priests) and to carry out their responsibility even better so that local communities will make much progress in community life and apostolate.
All the participants expressed their commitment to become even better rectors.
