Cooperators of God are growing during the Jubilee Year (Samoa and Timor Leste)

During last three days Good News from the Salesian Cooperators in four EAO Centers were shared with their World leadership – one in Timor Leste, one in Taiwan and two in Samoa. New Center of Don Rua in Taiwan, Taipei started mission outreach for the aboriginal youth; another 16 new Salesian Cooperators made their Promise in Timor Leste (ITM) and first two groups of Salesian Cooperators Aspirants started their vocation journey in Samoa (AUL) – journey of Cooperators of God in the spirit of Don Bosco!

Dili: Timor Leste (ITM – Indonesia - Timor)

Mr. Manuel J.C. Da Silva (Coordinator of Dili ACS Center) share his joy: ‘After the DB200 Celebrations we have another celebration of the Promise with 16 new members in Dili. So our Center has grown up to 58 members, with the first promise of 10 members in the second center in Timor Leste – Venilale, there are already 68 Salesian Cooperators here! After their promise they help to organize the ‘Don Bosco 200 Expo’ as part of the Bicentenary Celebrations!”

Saleleloga and Apia: Samoa (AUL – Australia and Pacific)

Thanks to the challenging visit and explicit invitation of the Rector Major also in Saleleloga - Savaii island located community in Samoa (after Alafua Don Bosco – Rector Fr. Petelo: cf. AustraLasia news n. 3XXX) started their first group of Salesian Cooperators Aspirants last September 16 with the Eucharist participated by six family members, accompanied by Fr. Visesio Tovio (Rector) and Fr. Mosese Tui (Parish Priest).

World leadership of the Salesian Cooperators replies

“Thanks a lot for the Good news from Timor Leste and Samoa! I really give thanks to God for the fruits of love to Don Bosco that flourish around the world. We have just returned from the First African Congress of the Salesian Cooperators. It was really a historical event with the Salesian Cooperators from that Continent. Thanks to the hard work of many initiatives from few dozens of African countries.

I’m also happy that also in the East Asia – Oceania Region our Association is growing not only in numbers, but also in quality and in the sense of belonging. Thanks to Mary Help of Christians and to Don Bosco!

A heartfelt greeting and thanksgiving for the wonderful work of communicating through the Boscolink – AustraLasia link news – that helps us to be united in our mission for and with the young!”                                               Mrs. Noemi Bertola, World Coordinator ACS (Rome)

Dear friends

After our return from Ethiopia – Addis Ababa, where we have celebrated the First African Congress of the Salesian Cooperators, I’m happy to read many encouraging news from the EAO region that reach us through the Boscolink. Heartfelt thanks for the commitment and enthusiasm of all Salesians and Salesians Cooperators involved in those countries for the promotion of the Salesian Cooperators vocation. It’s really a GREAT GIFT for the 170th Anniversary of the Catholic Church in Samoa! With the best wishes of good work, be sure of my prayers!”
