PRAYER FOR THE MISSIONS 

God, Our Father, you call us all to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth.  Inspire us to be missionaries, spreading your love to everyone.

We pray for missionaries everywhere. Immersed with love and humility among the people to whom they are sent, may they work with faith and courage for the patient evangelization of Your people.

We pray for Salesian missionaries.  May they spread Your word and do Your will by applying reason, religion and loving kindness, especially to the young and the poor.

We pray for the people in the missions.  May they welcome Your Good News and answer Your call. 

We pray for ourselves.  Following Your Son’s example of dwelling among us and drawing us closer to You, may we generously offer our lives as missionaries.  May our words, works and witnessing promote your Kingdom here on earth.

May we always realize that every place is a mission land and every one of us is a missionary.  We ask this through Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
