Hua Hin, Thailand, 1 April 2019 -- From 1 to 5 April, the Provincial Chapter of the Province of Thailand - Cambodia - Laos (THA) was held, entrusted to the moderators, Fr Aaron Alcoseba and Fr Niphon Sarachit, chaired by Fr John Bosco Thepharat Pitisant, THA Provincial. The Chapter, which had its theme “What kind of Salesians for the youth of today” has been prepared for the past 8 months.


There were altogether 36 members officially elected. Together with them, there were other 5 individuals invited as observers. Among these 5 participants there were 2 members of ADMA, one student of Philosophy, one Salesian Cooperator and one young person.


Needless to say, the Chapter was a moment of great renewal for the entire province as it reflected on such an important theme as the type of ‘Salesians for the Youth of Today’s World'.


The Salesian Province of Thailand (THA) came into existence in August 1927. From the humble beginnings that it had 92 years ago, at the moment, the THA province has 98 members residing in 16 houses spread over 3 countries, trying to reach out to the poorest of the poor. They become messengers of love and hope to the poor young people realized through their Schools (14), Parishes (8), Formation Houses (4), Youth Hostels (2).
