Tan Ha, Vietnam, 28 April 2018 -- Don Bosco Tan Ha Vocational School organized a picnic to Ninh Chu beach for around 400 students. The students were accompanied by Salesians, FMA Sisters, teachers and staffs.

The picnic was the highlight of the year for which the students had craved. At midnight, the students assembled in the school compound and Fr. Tuan, Rector, gave them some instructions for a joyful and safe trip. At 1am, ten buses loaded with exited students headed for Ninh Chu beach.

Upon arriving at the beach, everyone settled down and started enjoying activities of the day. The students had more fun with organized games, particularly from the tug of war. The beach was filled with laughter and cheering. They enjoyed swimming and playing in refreshing water, leaving behind tiredness from the long journey. After hours of swimming and playing on the beach, they gathered in huts for snacks and sang along. The students enjoyed great time in their own ways and activities were only stopped when it was time for lunch. A sumptuous meal with sea food and local products was served.

After lunch, they paid a visit to Tan Tai vocational school run by FMA Sisters. They were warmly welcomed by the Sisters, who treated them legacy food of the locality.

At 2pm, in the chapel of the Sisters, the Holy Mass was presided over by Fr. Rector, concelebrated by other Salesian priests. It was their expression of gratitude to the Lord for a great time. At the end of the Mass, a student spoke on behalf of all the participants to thank Father Rectors, Salesians, FMA Sisters, teachers and staffs for organizing a wonderful picnic. Everyone posed for picture taking outside the chapel.

The trip to Ninh Chu beach was a perfect break from their academic activities and created a family spirit among the participants. It was a successful trip which brings about more unity and bonding among Salesians, students, teachers and staffs.
