Port Moresby, PNG, 28 July 2017 -- Don Bosco Technological Institute, Boroko joined the whole nation in celebrating the National Tooth Brushing Day on July 28, 2017. Assembled in the soccer area, each student held a toothbrush, toothpaste and a cup of water. During the exact countdown at 10:30am, the student body started brushing their teeth together with the whole nation as it was broadcasted live!

DBTI in collaboration with Colgate-Palmolive PNG values oral health care as an important aspect of personal well-being. Not only it will boost self-esteem but also guarantees worry-free oral diseases.

“I feel happy that Bosconians took part in this event. It has taught them that they can positively influence their family members to care for their teeth and gums,” said Henry Toanare, 3rd year Bachelor student taking up Mathematics and Electrical Technology major.

“I’m glad DBTI, as a tertiary institute sets good examples to other citizens to value oral hygiene,” Ms. Dianne Lavi, the Students’ Activities coordinator said.
