Bangkok, Thailand, 8 December 2018 -- It was a time of blessings once again for the whole Church, particularly in our Salesian tradition, as we celebrated the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, 8 December 2018. We are always convinced that our Salesian Charism is unceasingly accompanied by signs from the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This was highlighted in the lives of four women, parishioners of Mary Help of Christians Church, Bangkok. After a period of preparation, these women expressed their desire to be members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA). They made their promises to promote devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist and to Mary help of Christians. This significant ceremony took place during the Eucharistic celebration with Fr John Bosco Thepharat Pitisant SDB, the Salesian Provincial of the Thai Province as main celebrant, and in the presence of Fr Aaron Alcoseba SDB, Vice Provincial and the Spiritual Animator of ADMA-Thailand, and Fr Charles Velardo. On this special occasion, all members of ADMA-Thailand also renewed their promises.

Throughout this year, the Thai ADMA members have been reflecting continuously on the “Introduction to the Devotion Life” written by Saint Francis of Sales. This book was the fundamental formation resource of the first group of ADMA in Turin.

ADMA-Thailand was established on 24 March 2003 and granted approval from Turin on 24 February 2004. At present, there are 48 members who already have made their promises. The Centre forADMA-Thailand is located in the Mary Help of Christians Church, Hua Mark, Bangkok.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may God bestow his grace on all the members so that they will be able to journey fruitfully on the way of holiness. May our Lady bring us to the intimacy of Christ’s love and the unity of the triune God.
