Second Mission Month (Oct 11-Nov 11) FIN province

Manila, Philippines, 13 October 2018 -- For the second time the FIN Province (Philippines North - Malaysia), has launched a month-long Salesian missions month in all 25 Salesian communities, including the youngest mission in Kuching, Malaysia (Fr. Ramon Borja, the superior).

The Mission Animation Delegate uses his FB (https://www.facebook.com/frdingsdb) and email to distribute the materials - photos of Filipino missionaries, prayer invitations and other related materials) and the missionaries are sharing their short 'good night' videos on Facebook as well.

We can watch a simple but heart-touching message from Kuching:

Good morning family from my heart, dear family!
Greetings during the celebration of this missionary month.
I think that Jesus is inviting us:

Don Bosco school is not your only family,
Your own mum and dad
and your comfortable nice home is not the only family.

The world is, the whole world is God’s family…
The whole world is your family!
That’s why I’m now here in Kuching, Malaysia.
I felt God calling me to embrace the whole world
as He did, as Jesus does.

Through prayers, presence and through a missionary call!

I feel that God embraces the whole world, as he did in Jesus
I feel that God called me to leave the beautiful family of Don Bosco in the Philippines
Look at my beautiful polo shirt ‘Made in Malaysia’.
I can’t yet speak their language, but they make me feel I belong to their family.
I’m so grateful and I would like them to feel that we are one family!

I have chosen this image of Jesus behind me,
since Jesus is embracing the whole human family.

Be a Mission, Let’s embrace the world!

Dear Confreres, Bosconians, Members of the Salesian Family and Friends of Don Bosco: As we start the Mission Month (October 11 - November 11), let us remember to PRAY for our Missionaries out there sent to a more radical way of living and proclaiming our Faith in the way of Don Bosco in Missio Ad Gentes. May this simple prayer group ignite the fire us to be open to going to the Missions.
