Seminar-workshop for the Rectors and the Economers of FIN
Batulao, the Philippines, 13 July 2018 -- The Rectors and the Economers of all the Salesian Houses of the FIN Province spent two days in the Mary Help of Christians House of Spirituality in Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas for a joint seminar-workshop on LEADERSHIP WITH THE HEART. This joint session was organized by the Finance Commission under the leadership of Fr. Edwin U. Ulanday, SDB, FIN Provincial Economer.
The organizers invited Dr. Maria Steffi Manhit who has over 25 years of professional and human resource training and development experience. Her professional engagements in management consulting and HR training include the design and conduct of training programs, training needs analysis, administration of an Executive Training Institute, job evaluation and salary administration, personnel policy formulation and executive recruitment. She finished her Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum Studies at the University of the Philippines – Diliman.
The participants, under Dr. Manhit’s guidance and animation, were able to learn and/or review their understanding on the following topics: Servant Leadership, Management Skills, Team Management, Modes of Communication, Work Performance, Coaching, Internal/External Customer Framework, and Approach to Change.
There were open discussions, sharing of experiences, and group activities that made this two-day seminar-workshop more collaborative and enriching. Participants were free to clarify issues, react to inputs, and exchange views on the topics being discussed.
Fr. Paul E. Bicomong, SDB, the Provincial Superior of the FIN Province concluded this two-day seminar workshop with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and the giving of the certificates of attendance to all the participants.
