Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 22 May 2018 -- Three months before the 7th EAO Regional Brother Congress our Preparatory Commission took advantage of our Regional Councilor animation visit for the first (almost) complete coordinators meeting. Together was present also Fr. Joseph Phuoc (Provincial delegate for formation) and seven Salesian Brothers - from the two postnovices to the Provincial economer, Br. Peter Phi.
We are organized in 12 small groups, each one responsible for some aspect: Reception, Steering group, IT and sound system, Decoration, Social communication, simultaneous interpretation, Food, Health care, Liturgy, Secretariat, Animation and sports. Since we are expecting about 170 participants, we have checked all preparation aspects strating from liturgy booklet, screen in the meeting hall and chapel, family home stay, various souveniers (bag, logo, key holder, polo shirt).
The preparation for the event involves all 12 EAO provinces with their Videoclip production (Salesian Brother visibility), with evaluation of past 12 years path of Salesian Brother promotion in each province since 2006 Cambodia Brother Congress and reflection on the dual form of one Salesian Vocation [study by Fr. Andrea Bozzolo, UPS - Torino section].
On May 22nd the Coordinator of the preparation commission Br. Nam, together with Fr. Joseph Hien (in charge of K'Long Don Bosco Retreat house) checked the logistic situation and needs for the Congress: 15 small rooms for the group sharing, capacity of the Chapel, Refectory and Assembly Hall.
We wish and pray, that the 7th EAO Brother Congress will bring a fresh wind of the Holy Spirit to all 200+ Salesian communities in our Region, especially to those without any Salesian Brother! Indeed for the renewal of the Salesian consecrated life the Brother contribution is essential!
