Ky Anh, Vietnam, 17 September 2017 -- Exactly as the weather forecast, the hurricance No. 10 was the stronghest hurricanes during the last ten years. It hit to the middle of Viet Nam around 10am September 17 and caused great damage.

Ha Tinh and Quang Binh Provinces were two places damaged most severely because of the strong wind level 11 to 12, and this terrible hurricane was acting around 6 hours in these places.

Don Bosco Ky Anh Technical Center located in Ky Anh District of Ha Tinh Province was at the heart of this hurricane that was why it was destroyed heavily because of the speed of the wind around 150km/hour.

When the hurricane arrived, all the students were asked to hide themseves in the studying hall in the first floor. The hurricane destroyed the roof of three worshops of metal working, automotive, and electricity. This hurricane also caused great damage on other things as doors, windows, trees…fortunately, there was non human loss.

When the hurricane already gone, these places left with no electricity and water. It made life more suffering for the school and especially for the boarders.

However, this was also the time to show great union and solidarity between Salesians, religious nuns, teachers, and students in working together in other to solve these consequences.
